Beckmannia syzigachne, American sloughgrass, slough grass, is an annual or short lived perennial bunchgrass in the Poaceae (grass) family found in shallow marshes or sloughs.
This species is adapted to the northern United States, southern Canada and part of east Asia. It is one of only two species in the Beckmannia genus; the other being Beckmannia eruciformis.[1]
